Truck Driver Job in San Francisco, California

Job Description: This year our Destination Markets (Twilight at the Presidio, Fort Mason Center, and Picnic at the Presidio) are entering their fifth and biggest year yet! With the addition of some extra amenities, we're in need of a safe and awesome truck driver with a Class A CDL to haul our equipment from the Presidio to Fort Mason Center and back. Further, we're looking for someone who's a great team player and isn't afraid of getting their hands dirty to help the Production Crew set up and tear down the markets. You should be a hard worker and great with keeping the equipment and vehicles in great, working shape. Event Production experience a plus! Forklift experience a double plus! Responsibilities: - Drive tractor-trailer and flatbed truck between the Presidio and Fort Mason Center, both are located in - San Francisco and less than 5 miles apart using truck appropriate roads - Maintain driving log to be handed in weekly and on-time - Keep all vehicles in great working condition and ready to be used - Report and facilitate any maintenance needed on vehicle - Responsible for proper treatment of equipment and materials. - Upload and load the trailer/bed with use of forklift - Help and oversee Production Staff in unloading and loading the trailer/bed - Assist Production Crew in setting up and tearing down the market space under direction of the Production Manager - Perform other related duties as assigned or requested - Work with Destination Market Staff effectively with professionalism - Driver is responsible for driving him/herself to either the Presidio or Fort Mason Center and home - Must be 100% sober during all shifts Qualifications: - All regular DOT/ FMCSA requirements are valid and up-to-date - California CDL Class A Drivers License - TWIC Card (optional, but a plus) - Must be at least 25 years of age with a clean DMV record and minimum 1 year experience - Clean MVR - Clean Criminal Record - Clean PSP Report - Exceptional Backing and Driving Skills - Flatbed Experience - Experience with a Piggyback Forklift, or willingness to be trained - Must be able to work 5 six hour shifts on Thursday Morning, Thursday Night, Early Friday Morning, Early Sunday Morning, and Sunday Evening - Team Player Attitude - Ability to maintain professional demeanor - Must be able to work the entire season with no missed dates Physical Demands: - Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb. - Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds). - Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater) - Sitting/ Standing for extended periods of time Hours: This position is part-time and requires working 5 six hour shifts Thursday, Friday, and Sunday through November 2. Compensation and Benefits: $25 an hour depending upon experience. This position is also eligible for Health, Dental, Vision and 401k benefits.
