Truck Driver Job in Atlanta, Georgia

Small family owned company owned by a trucker so we understand the needs of a trucker. We travel 90in the southeast, and our drivers are home most weekends. We do however do some weekend work. We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of a max of 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Qualifications: Class A Commercial driver's license Experience in operating a manual shift 10 speed semi truck Clean 3 year MVR - Mandatory Strong work ethic 3 years experience - mandatory At least 24 years old - mandatory We want someone who would like to grow with our company. We are looking for a driver with these characteristics and this type of attention to details: -excellent communicator -excellent trip planner *zero tolerance for late loads -inspect truck and trailer to make sure lights are working properly and mudflaps are intact. -be considerate of his or her fuel consumption -if the truck is not performing correctly, inform manager immediately -make sure the truck is clean on the inside and inform the manager if the truck needs a wash -willing and will sweep out the trailer after delivery -enjoys driving trucks and has pride in his or her profession - someone who is fond of trucks -someone who can read a map -someone who can effectively communicate and work with shippers and receivers
