We know that it is really important that as an experienced Class A CDL truck driver, you need to run miles, make money and spend quality home time with your family. With this weekly-dedicated run in our refrigerated division, you will have the opportunity to make money, get all the miles you can legally run and it will give you great home time. The lane is a 6 day run. We normally try to have the drivers home for 2-3 days during their 34 hour reset. Job Summary • Responsible for delivering all freight in a safe and prompt manner. Drivers also have the duty to engage with our customers and clients in a courteous and professional manner. At all times, OTR drivers are to obey all Department of Transportation regulations and laws, and at the same time adhere to the company personnel policy. In addition to this, OTR drivers must be able to communicate effectively and take responsibility for all equipment that they provided. General Accountabilities • Abide by all Department of Transportation, federal, state, and local regulations. • Be able to hook and unhook a trailer in a safe and proper manner without assistance. • Maintain all documents that range from logbooks to bills of lading, and other papers of information essential to our business. In addition, ensure that all documents are verified and properly completed prior to departure from site. • Must report all accidents, incidents, and any circumstances that may jeopardize the safety of our driver, equipment, and goods being shipped. • Must be well groomed and professional when interacting with our clients and customers. • Navigate/Operate GPS • * The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Job Qualifications • MUST HAVE ONE YEAR OR MORE EXPERIENCE • MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD • Valid Class A CDL • Compliance with MVR policy • Weighing loads experience • Compliance with Drug policy • Compliance with Background checking policy • Compliance with DOT physical requirements Skills • Judgment and Decision Making • Service Orientation - Respectful, Honest • Good Communication and customer service skills Ability to complete all DOT certified paperwork in a neat and efficient manner in accordance to DOT regulation • Time Management - well organized
