Truck Driver Job in Norfolk, Virginia

Driver Duties • High school diploma/GED required • Class A driver's license in good standing • No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years • No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years • Driver’s will be expected to work 5 days a week • Must possess a commercial driver’s license with at least 2 years of over the road experience, twic card, medical card dot. Driver Responsibilities • Drivers transport goods from one location to the other either in state or cross country. • Drivers are responsible for ensuring that their goods arrive safely and on time. • Safety and being courteous, valuing a predictable schedule. • Our Company makes safety a number one priority, which is reflected in our impeccable safety record. • We maintain our entire fleet with dedicated precision and, so we retain control over our weekly schedules. • All trucks have digital logs per VDOT guidelines. • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately • Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business. • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management. • Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
