DUITES/RESPONSIBILITIES: General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Driver moves truck along while equipment is moving forward. Operate diamond grinder proficiently and with minimal supervision  Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance tasks and/or making minor repairs as required Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition Mentor and teach colleagues with less experience Perform general labor and other construction related duties as required Observe construction sites for obstacles that may compromise job safety and/or production Must be able to interact with inspectors, DOT personnel, and engineers as needed.  Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Walk on top of tanker (slurry) and wash out Store and clean machinery at its designated location and note any deficiencies REQUIERED SKILLS & ABILITIES: In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines, and construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues Able to read drawings, plans and blueprints Must be able to determine necessity for the changing of grinding blades Possesses strong math and analytical skills Detail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accurately Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks: organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals Basic mechanical skills Knowledge of DOT regulations Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel extensively Must have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - Class A Drivers License with tanker endorsements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent At least 1-3 years of prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification BONUS SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: You thrive in extremely fast-paced environments You have a sense of humor (big plus) PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrain Able to meet all physical requirements  Able to work around loud noises and can tolerate being exposed to odors, gasses, dust, etc. Able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas Extensive travel will be required!
