Truck Driver Job in Mount Airy, Georgia

Job locations: Mount Airy, Habersham, GA (30563-2...) Job description: Must have 5 yrs OTR driving must perform Pre-Trip inspection each and every day job security depends on it . Driver should have experience with load securing a step-deck. Driver pay will be 0.55-0.65 cents per mile. Benefits include Medical, dental and vision insurance * Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. * Check truck to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. * Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs. * Secure cargo for transport, using straps * Couple and uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air and electrical lines, and manipulating fifth-wheel locks. * Crank trailer landing gear up and down to safely secure vehicles. * Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. * Follow traffic laws * Report problems and accidents to management * Get signed receipts for delivered materials * Read maps and follow directions * Have clean driving record * Provide good customer service * Meet pickup and delivery schedules * Inspect truck before and after trips * No loads hauled that have to be trapped *Salary 0.55-0.65 cents per mile round trip The hours for this role are Full-time, Permanent Job requirements * Applicants must be at least 25 * Applicants must hold a Class A/CDL driving license * Applicant must have at least 5 years commercial trailer truck driving experience to include experience with load securing a flatbed trailer. * A criminal background check will be required on applicants Job salary and benefits * Normal working days: weekdays * The hours for this role are Full-time, Permanent
