We are seeking a skilled and responsible Semi Truck Driver to facilitate the safe and efficient delivery of furniture from a fully-packed 1-bedroom house, located in a storage unit, to New Port Richey, Florida. The chosen candidate will possess a valid CDL license and be committed to ensuring the secure transportation of all items while maintaining their pristine condition. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $1.26 per mile, excluding tolls and gas expenses. The driver will not be responsible for loading or unloading the truck. Key Responsibilities: •Safely operate a semi-truck in compliance with all relevant traffic and safety regulations. •Transport furniture items from the storage unit to the specified destination in New Port Richey, Florida. •Verify the condition and quantity of furniture items before loading onto the truck and document any pre-existing damage. •Ensure all transported items are properly secured and protected to prevent any damage during transit. •Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and any maintenance or repairs performed on the truck. •Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery progress and any potential delays. •Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, driving regulations, and customer service. •Conduct routine inspections of the truck and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. •Work independently, managing your own schedule and route to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Qualifications: •Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven. •Proven experience as a semi-truck driver with a clean driving record. •Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols for transporting goods. •Strong attention to detail to ensure items are properly secured and protected. •Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and customers. •Physical fitness to load and unload items if necessary. •Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Compensation: •Pay rate: $1.26 per mile for all miles driven between the pickup and delivery locations. •Compensation does not cover tolls or gas expenses.
