 Deliveries • Loads customers' orders onto delivery trucks and double-checks trucks before they leave yard. • Inspects trucks prior to deliveries every day. • Drives truck to deliver lumber and other supplies to customers' homes or places of business. • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. • Complies with all DOT regulations for CDL drivers. • Records transactions on customer receipts. • Issues or obtains customers’ signatures on receipts for pickups or deliveries. • Records sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record. • Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected merchandise. • Cleans trucks.  Receiving • Unloads merchandise from wholesale delivery trucks. • Counts materials and records totals on inventory sheets. • Stocks materials in appropriate areas.  Yard Maintenance • Straightens materials to maintain safe and orderly conditions in yard. • Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage. • Keeps yard area clean by sweeping and picking up trash. • Mows lawn. • Replaces light bulbs as needed. • Cleans and maintains equipment. • Inspects forklifts and bobcats every day. • Washes trucks and other equipment.
