Truck Driver Job in Eagle, Idaho

Position: Class A Truck Driver Employment: Seasonal Contract Position Start Date: Late January through May, with optional extension through Mid-July and beyond Reporting Responsibility: Production Director Pay Range: Base weekly wage of $900 - $1.../week, depending upon overall route, miles driven, assigned weekends, and additional duties. Base retainer of $400-$500/week on down weeks. Base Location: This position will operate out of our Eagle, Idaho warehouse location. REQUIRED TRAITS & SKILLS • Superior organization and time management skills, attention to detail, and follow-through • Outstanding internal and external customer service skills • Capacity to work independently and as part of a production team on deadline-critical projects • Ability to juggle multiple projects and demands simultaneously, while prioritizing as needed • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Critical thinking, problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills • Ability to recommend new procedures, if applicable, and follow current policies, procedures, and best practices • Independent work ethic and ability to handle change • Proactive attitude • Ability to adhere to the values and mission of Spotlight • Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible to adapting business needs REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES • Class A Commercial Driver’s License, with previous experience operating transport vehicles • Clean Motor Vehicle Record for previous 3 years • Current DOT medical card • Winter and mountain driving experience • Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted • Background, drug, and alcohol screening required PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate 52’ semi-tractor/trailer or 26’ CDL-rated box truck, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver production equipment over long distances • Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment at designated warehouses and event facilities • Assist with setup and tear down of show equipment and supplies • Adhere to DOT driver regulations and maintain electronic logs according to I.C.C. regulations • Service truck with oil, DEF and fuel as needed to maintain operation • Work with freight coordinator to manage route, conditions, timelines, and potential issues. • Transport event staff to and from airport or hotel as needed in rental car • Oversee, pick up and display staff meals, snacks, and beverages POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL DUTIES (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND MAY INCLUDE ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION) • Hire, train, and manage 3 - 5 additional drivers • Coordinate lease agreements with truck rental agencies • Ensure overall *******pliance of all routes and drivers • Establish freight routes • Coordinate driving routes, drive times, hotel arrangements (if applicable), etc. • Secure permits ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE Spotlight Events’ primary office is in the heart of beautiful Eagle, Idaho.
