Truck drivers are responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another using commercial vehicles. They ensure timely deliveries, maintain vehicle safety and follow traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transport goods and materials to specified destinations.
2. Plan routes to minimize delays and optimize delivery times.
3. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, hours worked and vehicle maintenance.
5. Comply with traffic laws and regulations.
6. Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
7. Manage loading/unloading of cargo.
8. Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
