Truck Driver Job in Salt Lake City, Utah

Morgan Asphalt is hiring local drivers for our trucks to safely load, haul and unload materials (asphalt, road base, fill material, etc.) at construction sites along the Wasatch Front. Drivers must be willing to drive long distances and work long hours, including early in the morning, late at night, and on Saturdays at times. Drivers are required to observe all safety standards while monitoring loads to ensure all DOT regulations and local laws are met and obeyed. They are responsible to inspect and ensure the correct materials are loaded and need to do basic preventative maintenance (pre- and post-trip) and communicate with our shop on all equipment maintenance needs. Drivers must maintain log books (Verizon Connect) and records detailing materials and locations. They need to ensure adherence to all health and safety standards (PPE) as well as maintain awareness of external and internal threats on any job site. Drivers will report directly to the Transportation Superintendent and Dispatch. They must be physically able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and be capable to work all day according to local laws, while paying attention to their personal surrounding and changing environments. Morgan Asphalt will provide drivers with the equipment needed to complete the work.
