The Hotshot Driver will load, transport, and unload the Port-Able Learning Lab using a 24’ gooseneck tilt trailer supplied by Learning Undefeated. The tilt trailer is outfitted with a 17.5K winch and 36k snatch block. The Port-Able Learning Lab is 25’ x 8’ x 10’ and weighs approximately 18,000 lbs. The lab will move every 1-2 weeks beginning in August. Responsibilities include: • Inspection of the Port-Able Learning Lab, tilt trailer, and cargo to ensure everything is secured when hauling (chains, no straps) • Properly load and unload the Port-Able Learning Lab at each location, using the gooseneck tilt trailer provided by Learning Undefeated • Transport and deliver the Port-Able Learning Lab and tilt trailer safely and on time • Other tasks may be assigned (leveling, trailer maintenance, etc.) Position requirements: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a minimum of five years commercial driving experience and up-to-date DOT medical card. Proof of a clean driving record. Must meet the following: o Negative point accumulation is not to exceed minus four (-4) points o Zero (0) driving suspensions or revocations o Zero (0) incidents of serious motor vehicle violation, including, but not limited, to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; reckless driving; leaving the scene of an accident, or a series of convictions that reflect a pattern of unsafe behavior o Has not been assigned to any alcohol safety action program or driver alcohol rehabilitation program o Has not been assigned to any driver improvement programs Applicants with a DUI/DWI will not be considered Ability to pass a criminal background check in addition to pre-employment and ongoing random drug tests. The Driver must provide their own truck, recommended 650 and above. The Driver must provide a certificate of insurance. The Driver must be flexible and adapt well in unpredictable situations. Travel with possible overnight stays across the United States is required. The Driver must be available for day, evening and occasional weekend functions. The fine print This is an independent contractor position. The candidate will be selected for hire based on the following criteria: Experience, driving record, communication skills, background check, and availability. Contractor will be reimbursed for any fueling, tolls, related cleaning expenses and all approved maintenance expensed related to the container or trailer. Rate begins at $75/hour, paid biweekly.
