Shift - Monday to Friday, with LAYOVERS in Sleeper Cab up to 3 nights a week (home every weekend) This is a unique role for someone interested in a great opportunity to work independent, build new relationships, and grow a business. This position will involve making deliveries, staying overnight some nights in the sleeper berth, driving different types of equipment, make deliveries, meeting customers and developing the future Job Description: · Responsible for routing the delivery routes daily and working with central routing analyst to help optimize outbound deliveries and improve customer service - Driving tractor/trailer combination (including 28’ pups) - Depending on the route and distance, laying over in the sleeper berth is required at least 3 nights per week - Coordinate with the broader team on reporting and metrics - Conducting customer order deliveries: - Delivering tires to stores in route order - Offloading and placing tires in customer’s designated locations - Follow customer’s safety processes · Requires flexibility as routes will change depending on phases and volume Requirements: Must possess a valid AZ drivers’ license. Must have experience pulling at least 28’ doubles Must be willing to be on the road consecutive days at a time Lead/Management experience a must. Delivery and customer service experience required. Experience with MS Office Software such as Excel. Routing software experience a plus. Ability to work independently with in-direct supervision. Adhere to all Safety requirements Time management skills and be able to assess daily workload expectations. Problem solving with a common-sense approach. Be part of a team, we’re a small group so we need to work together. Build relationships with our existing customer on established routes. Look after our customers. Ability to operate a company vehicle as per all municipal, provincial and federal regulations and follow company policies/safety motor vehicle policies. Prepare and continuously document all reporting requirements accurately and timely Physical ability to lift and carry 70lbs throughout the day’s deliveries as required.
