Hiring Company: JPS Trucking Ltd. Position: Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Full Time; Permanent Job Description and Qualifications: JPS Trucking Ltd. is seeking 6 full-time permanent Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Drivers. Main duties of the job will include: • Operating and driving tractor-trailer vehicles to transport goods and materials over distances short and long, national and international; • Operating GPS and other navigational equipment, Citizens band radio, and Trip recorder; • Communicating with dispatcher and customers using on-board communication devices; • Transporting hazardous products or dangerous goods; • Planning trip logistics and performing pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle, vehicle systems, and equipment; • Ensuring cargo being transported is secured and following safety procedures for transporting all goods; • Recording travel and cargo information, including hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption, and preparing bills of lading and log books; • Transporting refrigerated goods and recording temperature information logs; • Maintaining accident or incident reports, maintenance and repair reports, dangerous goods occurrence reports; • Providing professional and courteous customer service Applicants must have a valid passport. Must have Class 1/1F/A License (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement, AZ Class License, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Professional Driver Improvement Certificate, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Must be willing to travel cross-border, and travel overnight. Experience is an asset. Education: No formal education requirement. Location of Work: Company is based in Northampton, New Brunswick. Driving required across Canada and the United States of America.
