The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including flatbeds and roll-off trucks, while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service. Responsibilities Operate and drive different types of trucks, including flatbed, roll-off, and tractor-trailer units. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel use, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Handle freight in a safe manner to prevent damage during loading and unloading processes. Operate manual transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks, roll-off trucks, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers. Experience with loading and unloading freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Ability to operate forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and regulations related to commercial driving.
