Jimmy's Trucking, a stable, 75 year old family run company, is one of the preeminent Fragrance and Flavor Transportation companies in New Jersey. We are looking for truck drivers (experience preferred) to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. We realize that home time and family time matters, so we treat drivers right. No over the road, home every night. With the starting rate and overtime, your first year earning can be as high as $75,000. Responsibilities Transport finished fragrances, raw materials and products to and from our site and from customers business sites. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Meet delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions. Call in pickups at end of day. Communicate with dispatch about any issues or delays. Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Experience as a truck driver (tractor trailers, straight trucks) Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc). Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Preferably no recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Valid truck driving license. Must be haz mat certified.
