Qualifications: • Must be 25 years of age. • Must possess only (1) Contractors license of the proper type (CDL) with the required endorsements • Must supply social security card or a copy of the birth certificate and state license with photograph • Controlled substance and alcohol abuse investigation • MVR Review • Must have acceptable references from previous employers. • No falsifications or incorrect information on application. Application must accurately reflect all periods of employment, self-employment, training, military and unemployment for the past ten years. • Must have no conviction for DWI or DUI within the past (10) years. • Must not have been convicted of reckless or careless driving last (5) yrs. • No license suspensions or revocations for driving conduct. • No refusing or failing and DOT mandated drug or alcohol test within (10) years of the date on the application. • No Convictions for possession, sale or use of any illegal • No truck abandonment ever • No major preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past (3) years. • Must pass a physical examination, drug testing, and Company Orientation. • A minimum of (2) years over the road verifiable recent driving experience, • Must read and write the English language well enough to fulfill the requirements of the position applied for, per 391.11 (b) 2 • No more than (1) serious violation (as defined by part 383.5) in the past year. • No more than (5) jobs in the past (1) years. • No Felony conviction within the last (10) years • Medical exam must not expire within 6 months of Release date. • Annual inspection must be within the 30 days of Release date. Lollicup USA, INC. driver job description Dispatch: Expect our drivers to complete moves, pickups, deliveries as directed by dispatch in a timely manner. Dispatch/ Customer Service must be notified immediately when a service failure occurs i.e., missing appointment, shortages, overages, damages, detention over 1hr. Driver should advise dispatch upon arrival and departure from loading/unloading facility. Appointments (Pick-up & Delivery): Appointment times for pick-up or delivery should be made or changed only by dispatch: Under no circumstances should driver make any changes to the pick-up or delivery appointments. Lollicup USA, INC. expects all drivers to: 1. Plan their trip, taking into consideration traffic, distance, weather and safety. 2. Plan on arriving not less than 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. 3. Notify the dispatcher if for some unforeseen reason the driver will be late. 4. Daily HOS (hours of service) 5. Daily DVIR (driver vehicle inspection reports) Overweight Loads (if applicable): All overweight loads must be permitted for each state through which the load will be transported. The overweight definition is any weight over 80,000 lbs. gross (tractor, trailer and load combined). The only exception is axle weight. Drivers are responsible to adjust trailer tandems accordingly. Load facilities are responsible for declaring all load weight (net, tare and pallets) as gross weight. If weight is misrepresented on the BOL, dispatcher must be notified and the load not moved until disposition is settled. Dispatch must be immediately notified of any overweight issues. Equipment Problems – Notify dispatch immediately of any mechanical and or safety defects. Tires: Part of the daily equipment inspection process is noting the condition of the tires. A driver must ensure the following and is responsible for identifying and reporting faulty equipment. Contact dispatch on all tire issues which may result in a service failure.
