Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Long Distance Truck Driver to join our transportation team. As a Long-Distance Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a timely and safe manner. You will operate and maintain commercial trucks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials over long distances • Inspect vehicles for defects before and after trips, and report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while maximizing efficiency • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other required information • Follow all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies • Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers as necessary • Ensure that cargo is properly secured and handled to prevent damage or loss • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations • Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and sleeper berth Qualifications: • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a long-distance truck driver • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations • Ability to operate and maintain commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently • Comfortable with long periods of sitting, driving, and being away from home • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other technology used in the industry • Willingness to comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements If you are a motivated and safety-conscious driver with a passion for the open road, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
