CDL Truck Drivers (Trailer) for opportunity in CANADA, US Citizens/Residents only (30 openings) Wage Minimum $53K per year ($0.38 per mile) plus benefits Full time job. Wage is the greater of $0.38 per mile or $20.24 per hour; minimum 50 hours per week plus possibility of overtime. Two-year contract, interested in staying with the company long term. TRAVEL COST TO CANADA AND ALL GOVERNMENT FEES FOR SELECTED WORKER ARE COVERED BY OUR CLIENT. Requirements - U.S. Citizens/Residents only, interested in a initial 2-year contract and in applying to become Permanent Resident of Canada after 6 months on the job (does not affect your U.S. Citizenship); - Valid CDL License with a clean driving record; - Minimum experience required: * 5 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience; * Flat Deck or Dry/Box Van & Reefer experience; * Standard transmission, 13 speed and greater; * Airbrakes; * Tractors: Kenworth, Freightliner, Mac, to operate International, Peterbilt, Volvo; * 53 Foot Trailers (Flat Deck, Box Van); * 5 axle vehicles with capacity to 40 tons; 6 axle vehicles with capacity to 53 tons; * Experience using and maintaining a Log Book; * Mountain, Snow and Ice driving experience; - No criminal record; - High School Diploma; - Must pass a Medical exam and a Drug Test prior to hiring (our Client pays for these costs); - Physically qualified and able to drive a commercial motor vehicle, as well as able to perform all required duties; - Candidates, their partners and all dependents must be free of any health conditions that would be considered a drain on the Canadian Health Care System; - Must be customer service and team orientated, have a professional appearance; - Must be willing to relocate to Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba or BC as directed by Company needs. Duties - Operate a tractor-trailer unit as per Federal and Provincial Regulations and Company Policy; - Understand the Employee Handbook; - Perform preventative maintenance check and pre-trip and post-trip inspections; - Check freight to ensure proper count and condition, and note exceptions on delivery bills; - Collect all monies due at time of pickup/delivery; - Fuel and clean equipment after each shift/trip; - Communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner and provide customers with information as per Company Policies; - Complete logbooks and trip records thoroughly and accurately; - Report all damages or accidents as per Company Policies; - Understand and follow dangerous goods procedures; - Adhere to all highway traffic regulations, as well as safety and traffic laws; - Verify dispatch trailer, load, bills of lading, destination, etc., and report to dispatch dally; - Deliver loads as instructed by dispatch en route to or within city; - Participate in own job performance reviews; - Discuss with supervisor any difficulties with meeting job responsibilities Company Offers: - Guaranteed 50 hours per week; - Fixed payroll advance to cover initial expenses; - Paid 10 day vacations after 1 year; - Consistent, steady employment; - 2 year contract; - Free Health Care from day 1 in Canada; - Company will support successful employees to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada after 6 months on the job.
