Applicant needs to know how to drive a 2015 Volvo VNL Cummins ISX15 Horse Power : 425 HP Transmission Eaton Fuller Ultrashift Automatic this is the truck you will be driving. Work week is Monday-Friday, home in the evenings and we do regional and local work through neighboring states. This is a small family-owned business located in Newnan, GA , and we believe in treating our drivers fair, giving our drivers the tools to succeed, and being flexible so our drivers have a life after work. We have an open door policy and are small and flexible enough to accommodate most of our drivers home-time and pay. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, cell phone applications) Ability to drive 8-10 hours Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) 2 years experience minimum driving with 53 ft trailers (dry vans and or reefer) Valid truck driving license CDL A Must be able to drive a 2015 Volvo VNL - Ultrashift Automatic Able to pass pre-employment drug test for DOT 1-4 days Valid Covid-19 test before interviewing $500.00 Sign-on Bonus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $1,000.00... per week Schedule: Home daily Monday to Friday No nights Weekends Year round work
