The ideal candidate must have experience driving a semi-tractor trailer. Must be dependable, responsible and motivated. Flexible, willing to travel through NYC, long island and the Tri-State area.
• Haul freight containers
• Read and interpret shipping documents. Acquire appropriate signatures for BOLs.
• Operate vehicle safely with DOT regulations that govern safe driving, hours of service & inspection.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections on truck.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Comply with DOT driving rules and regulations
• Make safety a priority at all times.
