Truck Driver Job in Greater Landover, Maryland

Schedule: Sunday to Friday: Shift starts 4am, 12pm and 8pm This role involves Route Delivery with multiple stops. The employee would be required touch Freight and must have a valid driver’s license in VA, MD, or DC. and a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s card. Essential Functions Performs deliveries, pick-ups, and returns of produce, dairy products, and dry goods to / from Keany Produce customers and suppliers. Daily runs Reviews paperwork for assigned route(s) to ensure that all invoices are present and in good condition. Inspects cargo loads to ensure that they are packed appropriately. Ensures that all vehicles are cleaned out properly at the end of each shift. Perform and document pre-trip and post trip inspections in proper Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) format Maintain communication with supervisors to ensure D.O.T. required documentation is maintained. Keeps track of hours worked to maintain responsibility for not exceeding D.O.T. Hours of Duty (60 hrs.) Requirements:       High School diploma or its equivalent Must be 21 years of age. Must have CDL A License. Able to operate Manual Must have a clean MVR for the past three (3) years. Ability to comprehend and fully follow established and new company policies and procedures. Ability to work in and adapt to changing business patterns. Must have good customer service and communication skills. Must be a responsible driver with good knowledge of roads and map reading skills. Have good work ethic. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical/drug screen and employment verifications per FMCR. Must have knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and laws for the safe and proper operation of a tractor trailer.
