Our client is currently seeking several drivers for the following position: SUMMARY Drives diesel-powered tractor combination to transport and deliver general commodities, long haul 47 cents/mile – practical miles EXPERIENCE Maintain a current CDL A 2 years proven and safe driving record Minimum age of 23 years Must have valid DOT medical certification card COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of the organization ESSENTIAL DUTIES Promote Safety first foremost Must tailgate freight off trailer onto customer’s dock Accountable for all signed tools and equipment Responsible for performing a full pre-trip and post-trip inspection on tractor trailer Keeps equipment field as needed Maintains driver’s daily log trip reports and other documents as required Maintain professional conduct and attitude towards other motorists to share the highway Conform to all DOT and OSHA regulations Perform any other reasonable request as directed by management
