Truck Driver in Valley Springs, California

I'm an
Individual
Lets list the pros and cons of me, first. Pros: - I enjoy touchfreight and experienced with palletjacks, forklifts, and load securement - I have 1 year experience driving for a county foodbank that was located in a mountainous area - I'm accident free and never have had even a speeding ticket - I don't do drugs (other than caffeine from soda) - I prefer to drive nights and enjoy being awake at night - I'm single and don't own much, so I'm not against regional work - I can afford to be "positioned" (like an expediter) and wait for high paying loads on a loadboard - Micromanagement isn't that big of a deal for me and I don't mind being told where to go or where to fuel Cons: - I value freetime over money and look forward to downtime - It is difficult to get a hold of me on my 10 hour break or 34 hour reset - My time management is horrible and I've never bothered to learn running on recap hours - I hate maxing my 11/14 hr clock and enjoy 4-8 hour days, or doing 11 hours a day back to back for more than 3 days - I prefer part time driving and value time off - I'm socially reserved and local "meet and greet" drains me mentally - I like to be alone and not having to deal with people is one of the reasons I prefer trucking - I refuse to go back to manual transmissions (unless it is off road farm work) Sidenote: I'm not currently driving (since Covid happened) but I keep my skills fresh. I have access to a simulator (similar to Prime's but a bit more advanced) and can practice with all sorts of trailers/truck types.
