Truck Driver CEMEX, INC - Gilbert, AZ-May 2015 to July 2015 Responsibilities Daily pre-trip, Daily check call to let dispatch I've started duty and begun service hours, drive to plant where I get loaded, get there and put on a safety harness before opening hatches, pull forward to position trailer hatches just right under chutes, park truck and go see the batch-man, tell him how many tons you would like to haul, after I'm loaded I sign my paperwork and get back in my truck, move forward to the safe rack, put harness back on, close hatches, send my loaded call, and drive to the cement plant where I deliver, arriving on site send my arrival status, go let the batch-man know I'm there and ready to unload, he lets me know what silos and what psi to operate at to avoid destroying the filter at the top of the silos, I then hook-up my hose to the assigned silos, climb in my truck and start the blower to build pressure in trailer, once the desired pressure is reached I carefully open valve to send air through the hose and next carefully open product valve to avoid clogging the line, and I carefully monitor tank pressure and hose pressure making slight adjustments to keep pressures at safe levels. once empty it is time to use a rubber mallet on the side of the trailer to set loose any product that did not come loose from the aerators, now that it is totally empty I then close the product valve and then the air supply valve, crack the pressure relief valve, turn off the blower, then disconnect my hoses and fittings, store it all away and go see the batch-man, get paperwork signed and that completes one trip.
