Dear Human Resources Team Manager; I am seeking a full-time Team Member position and the opportunity to grow with a dynamic, productive and success-oriented team. My background combines compassion and care for equipment with technical ability to maintain modern equipment systems. I am an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician, registered in the Red Seal 421A program. I have graduated from the Heavy Equipment Technician program offered by Conestoga College, where I gained a thorough knowledge of electrical/hydraulic circuit theory and trouble-shooting ability accumulated through practical hands-on training (copy of diploma attached). I am also a graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College (University of Guelph) where I studied General Science. I have a wide background of employment experience, encompassing construction, production manufacturing, agricultural labour, sales representative, and education (teaching). My work history includes: •2 seasons of harvesting fruit at an Georgian Bay area orchard (reference letter available) •sales representative for an Elmira area agricultural fertilizer distributor •research assistant for a University of Guelph Crop Science Department research project •assistant process control operator in a livestock feed production mill at UCO United Cooperatives of Ontario feed mill on Speedvale Avenue in Guelph, ON. My employment experience is similarly diverse; most recently I completed a contract with HITACHI Automotive Systems in Minami-Alps City, Japan where I worked closely with Engineering staff to increase their effective, communicative abilities in the English language. I was previously employed by an oilfield well services company located in the area of Cold Lake AB, 250 km northeast of Edmonton. I was a member of a team responsible for maintenance and repair of company fleet vehicles, heavy off-road trucks and downhole oilfield service rigs.
